Hi and welcome to the listing.Here is a fine example of the legendary Mk3 Toyota Hilux single cab 4x4 pickup. It is very rare to come across such a genuine and honest one of these now, getting a scarce sight on the UK roads now in any form let alone one like this! This is an ‘L’ reg 1994 model and this being a ‘MK3 version’ arguably the most iconic and sort after one to have is the eyes of a collector / enthusiast, whilst having unstoppable reliability and simplicity of mechanical design without any of the later versions electronics and common rail engines etc…unrivalled build quality along with a true driver positive experience that you get from even the smallest of journeys really sets in stone what a proper bit of quality motor engineering these were, something that is now lost with new cars today…if maintained properly and respected this vehicle will last decades to come! Truly bulletproof and a legendary fast appreciating commercial vehicle collectors item now.It has been subject to a full body, glass out respray a couple of years ago by a reputable local body shop, done to a very high standard. The front wings were changed for new aftermarket ones along with the rear tailgate, other than this all other panels are original. It did have the rear quarter panels repaired before being painted with the weld in repair panels that are available to buy still, all bad metal cut out and replaced with new to ensure a lasting and proper repair was done. Along with other trim pieces/fixings etc that were required to complete the respray. Mechanically it is in great order. Subject to a thorough going through and service before the respray to include the following to name some: full cam belt kit and water pump, engine oil and filter, air filter rear brake compensator, front axle swivels rebuilt with new seals and bearings where needed, brand new updated all terrain tyres, all 5 of the original steel wheels shot blasted and powder coated in mid grey colour, new front bumper painted in the correct paint code grey, genuine Toyota mudflaps, clear tail lights, new front indicator lenses, new number plates…It has just passed with flying colours a new 12 months MOT test. Starts at the flick of the key, runs and drives lovely. Definitely one not to be missed if you’re genuinely looking for something special. I sourced this locally from a farming friend of my Dad, although I am in theory the second owner from new it had a couple of keeper changes within the same company due to changing company names / policies. Always being a Nottinghamshire vehicle from new, not been next to the seaside! This shows by how the chassis is rock solid and never have being welded, prior to me applying Dinitrol rust protection it still had a remarkable quantity of factory paint in the chassis!Not desperate to sell, only really advertised as unfortunately it just doesn’t get used enough for me to warrant keeping it anymore, I’ve only done around 150 miles in the last year. This is well worth travelling for, you will not be disappointed. I’ve priced it sensibly and by no means over priced for what it is, I don’t have to sell it so please no silly low ball offers or tyre kickers, if you’re serious then you’ll appreciate the car for what it is and understand it’s worth.
